Crypto product alleged to be launched by the HKMA

The Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA) received an enquiry from the public about the alleged launch of a crypto product by the HKMA for investment by the general public.  The HKMA would like to remind the public that the HKMA has never launched any such investment or crypto product. Also, related investment products are outside its supervisory ambit.

Members of the public who suspect that they are victims of fraudulent acts should contact the Police or the Commercial Crime Bureau of the Hong Kong Police Force at 2860 5012 for follow-up actions and investigation by the Police.
